GETTING BACK OUT INTO THE WORLD!!

The show went well and i feel grateful to have been able to get back on the stage!!

My best friend and i hung out after the show with some other friends and
had a blast!! Of course lulu was safe and sound with her nanna!!

So the next morning i was able to have a mimosa and some brunch with
the girls!! It felt great to enjoy good company!

The spot that my girl took us to was in Brooklyn, a cute little place that

had me licking my fingers for real!

All in all it was great to get back out into the world!!!

LIFE BREATHES WHEN YOU BREATHE!

music and poetry...words and performance...these are some of the things that keep me going...my last studio session went well and i was really happy with the vocals...i'm still waiting for the final mix...slowly the album is coming together so in the mean inbetween time i keep writing and thinking of new and different ways to express myself...either through photograpy or writing...i can't image waking up with the notion that i wouldn't be doing what i am doing...it would be a difficult existence so of course i don't think that way...creativity and motherhood give me courage and a source of joy that surpasses anything else life has to offer...lulu and i spent the day together hanging out at the park and meeting new friends...her uncle came by and joined in the hang out...the warm breeze put her to sleep before her nap time giving me a well deserved chance to just sit and enjoy the sunshine...it's evening now and i am exceptionally calm and rested...lulu plays in her crib while i type...i've been online alot lately since i'm getting ready for this show next week...i've been doing alot of online inviting...tedious work but someone has to do it...i believe in what i do so putting in the time is effortless...anyway i will wrap up by saying...life breathes when you breathe...life dances when you dance...keep shinin'...keep smilin' and doing what makes you happy...photo: living room recording studio!

omg soooooooooo much has happened in the last week or more...or rather since the last time i wrote in this blogg...a little surgery turned into a two night stay in the hospital...not serious...i am extremely well...i take recovery seriously and do as i am told...anyway thought for a minute that i would have to cancel my gig next month but no way...i have waited for this day for quite some time...it's been over a year since i've been on the stage with the band...anyway i also thought it might be hard to deal with lulu since i have had to take it easy with picking her up and stuff but she has been an angel and it's as if she knows that her mommy needs a little help...she's been staying in her crib with her books...giving absolutely no trouble...babies are soooo intuitive...anyway i am smiling and feeling extremely strong, fulfilled, blessed and filled with God's powerful light...cheers to adversity...it always makes me true!!!

LOVE AND LIGHT!

ok so let me tell you about miss lulu...she is sooooooooo full of energy...my days are filled with entertaining her and squeezing a few minutes in to get things done for the show coming up on june 15...thank goodness the weather is warm so we can hang out outside...that always makes her happy and myself as well...she is alseep and i am sneaking this time to write and meditate at the same time...like walking meditation...this is writing meditation...the long weekend is upon us and that makes me happy because everyone puts their working hat away and has fun...i don't really have much to say today other than i feel abundantly blessed...i find myself sharing a couple of seconds every now and again throughout the day to thank God for my life and my sweet family...even when i feel like i can't lift my limbs because i am exhausted...

when i sleep - i sleep with an overflowing heart...as i take one day at time i know that tomorrow will bring me more bounty and the next and the next and the next...because life is as beautiful as the blue sky on this warm warm friday afternoon!!!!PHOTO:LAMPLIGHT

GREAT DAYS!

the last few days have been so rewarding...the friday night performance was so beautiful and enriching...it felt great to take it back to the root of what i do...being a poet and sharing my work...and yesterday evening i had a great session in the studio...once again i feel extremely connected to life and the process...i'm finally learning to be patient and to be guided by the light...lulu is growing so fast...she changes from morning to morning and sometimes i can't believe that i am sooooooooo lucky to be her mother...she always brings me back to my purpose as a soul journeying in this life...she always reminds me to be grateful and honor the intimacy of relationship...to honor everything that goes on in my life...to honor my full heart...and to remember that holding hands with God is effortless!!

STAYING THE COURSE!

the last couple of days have been challenging to say the least...the performance for the girls club of nyc went well...lulu wanted to be on stage with me so that is where she was...everyone took it in stride and enjoyed the performance...i have another may 18th and i am so looking forward to that one as well...another seems to be creeping up for june...i am hammering out the details as we speak...i am overjoyed to be back in the saddle...to be sharing once again...STAYING THE COURSE...THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING...CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN...ONE STEP AT A TIME...my first internet radio interview will air this month...i will post the details this week so stay tuned...lulu has become a handful...she is so full of energy and light...looking at her and giving her hugs and kisses adds so much to my day...so as i swim in the sea of life i remember to keep smiling and embracing my individuality...being a part of a whole while at the same time embracing who i am and what makes me different and magnificent...photo: different
