i've made peace with the world today!

WHAT'S REALLY INSIDE?

my faith is strong

my faith is weak

sometimes my heart feels heavey and bleak

there are days like today

when things seem strange

when it's time to take a chance

a time to re-arrange

what road to wander, what bench to sit

these are some of the questions that don't seem to fit

my tears are near

as if on a cliff

ready to spring

ready to make mischief

they crawl along face

no destination in mind

except the bottom of my chin

where they will find

the end of the road

the end of their race

ready to jump

off of the edge in haste

they carry my burden

they carry my waste

they mock my surrender

and make me face

what tragedy lay beneath

what song i hide

they make me ask myself

"what's really inside"?

as i lean on my fingers

to extract what i mean

my hands become heavey

my heart a ravine

naked and restless is who i am today

maybe tomorrow

my joy will stay

and cast some magic about my stance

because i know there's always

another chance

to be....
